Stainless Steel Fabricated Football by Butler Sheetmetal Ltd.

Here’s the latest stainless steel design product we’ve manufactured. For want of a better description it’s a stainless steel fabricated football.
Stainless Steel Footballs by Butler Sheetmetal Ltd
We were originally approached to design a stainless steel football for a local football club and Matt was rather taken by the idea. However, he wanted to design and fabricate one without having it spun.
Fabricated Stainless Steel Ball
The stainless steel ball you see here is made from a series of hexagonal and pentagonal panels welded and polished. It’s 500mm in diameter, but can be made to any particular size. It can be made from 304 or 316 grade stainless depending on whether you want to use it indoors or out.
Stainless Steel Ball Planter
You can use it as a stand alone stainless steel feature, a stainless steel planter, or as a stainless steel water feature.

We’ve got some pretty good feedback so far, but we’d like to know what you think about them aswell.

You stole my idea. I made one just like that for a welding competition back in 1992. Won first place too. It’s in the trophy case at Ogden tech. in Ogden, UT along with the blue ribbon I got.
